Richard Hill
Hi, I'm Richard Hill, Chief Executive Officer of Hill Industries.
Mr. Hill is Chief Executive Officer of Hill Industries, an investment company that made principal investments in privately held companies in manufacturing, construction, and technology industries. He has 18 years combined fixed income trading, investment banking, real estate, and business development experience in corporate finance and capital markets. Additionally, Hill Industries also provides financial engineering, structure finance, M&A, and corporate finance advisory to corporate clients. Mr. Hill was also a senior partner in the merchant banking firm, Quantum Capital Partners, LLC, where he was the Financial Advisor to Forest City Ratner Companies for their $4.5 billion mixed use project (which includes a 20,000 seat arena) in Brooklyn, New York. Additionally Mr. Hill was a Managing Partner with Carillon Advisors, a hedge fund advisor and fund-of-hedge funds manager. There Mr. Hill was responsible for managing Carillon’s product development and structuring as well as manager research and due diligence. Right out of college, Mr. Hill went to work for CB Commercial (now CB Richard Ellis), the largest commercial real estate company in the US. There he specialized in REIT investment management and due diligence, industrial real estate, and sale-leaseback financings. Mr. Hill’s Wall Street career began with Barclays Capital where he started as a fixed income strategy analyst, developing strategies for investment managers. After finishing graduate school, Mr. Hill became a Government Bond Trader in London and New York. Later he moved to the Emerging Markets desk where he ran the Sovereign Emerging Markets Trading in the Americas. There he provided market making execution for hedge fund and investment manager clients of the bank. At Citigroup, Mr. Hill was hired as a Vice President into the Global Structured Finance Group. There he focused on private placements and structured real estate transactions. Mr. Hill was an integral part of the team that completed the Southdown (Cemex) private placement of $755 million--the largest transaction in this asset class in over a decade. Mr. Hill then moved to the High Grade Global Loans Syndication Group where he managed the Northeast Regional Book; covering companies such as Raytheon, United Technologies, Ernst & Young, and other large cap diversified companies. Additionally, Mr. Hill structured syndicated loans for companies in the Energy sector. Mr. Hill has a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from New York University, an MBA from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and a BA in Economics from the University of California, Irvine.
